New customer portal for building applications

We are happy to announce that we are switching customer portals for all building applications. Objective Build will provide better transparency and more functionality than our current customer portal. You can find information about Objective Build here or you can watch some short demo videos by clicking here - Build Video Tutorials | Objective Corporation.

What you need to do

Active applications

All active applications will transfer over to the new portal. If you have an active application, you will receive an email letting you know that this will transfer over and that you will need to register as a user for the new Objective Build portal, this can be done at this link but only on or after 26th February https://build.objective.com/

NB: You must use the same email address as the existing application or you will not be able to see your application in Objective Build.

New applications

If you are making a new application, you will need to register as a user in Objective Build and then you will be able to lodge your application.

Draft applications

If an application is still in draft at 3pm Friday 23rd February, it will not transfer to the new system. You will either need to submit the application or complete a new application in the new portal from 26th February.

What if I can’t see my application?

Firstly, check that you have used the same email address to register as a user. If you still can’t see your application please contact the building team on 0800 732 732 or by emailing us at building-cs@southlanddc.govt.nz
