Community Spirit Award 2016

Southland District Council wants to say thank you to a young Southlander whose generosity has benefited the community they live in.

Nominations for the annual Community Spirit Award are now open.

The award has been running since 2012 and recognises the hard work of a community-minded young person. The winner will receive $100 and be presented with a trophy in a ceremony at Council.

Nominees must attend a school as a Year 12 or 13 student and live in the Southland District. They can be nominated by a fellow student or a member of their community, and their nomination must be seconded by a working teacher or principal at the student’s school.

Nominations closed at 5pm on 12 December 2016.
