Manapouri

Manapouri sits next to the beautiful Lake Manapouri, and has a population of close to 230.

The town has a long-standing tourism industry, with visitors touring Lakes Manapouri and Te Anau as early as 1893.

The area is well-known for the Manapouri Power Station which supplies electricity to the Tiwai Point Aluminium Smelter, near Bluff.
